WH (Heer) Infantry Officer's Tunic
Wehrmacht (Heer) Officer's Tunic as intended for an 'Leutnant der Infanterie' (Infantry). The German Officer’s service tunic followed the basic design of the Enlisted Men/NCO’s field blouse, the most readily visible difference (besides the insignia) are the turned up French cuffs. This is a nice quality, 'privately purchased' M36-style field-grey wool tunic with dark-green collar. The tunic is in overall very good condition with minor traces of usage. The buttons are all the field-grey pebbled examples. The tunic is complete with all insignia, including a nicely hand-embroidered breast-eagle, shoulder boards and officer's type collar tabs. Both the collar tabs and shoulder-boards are piped in the white 'Truppenfarbe' (branch colour) indicating the Infantry. The collar-tabs look original sewn to the collar, the other insignia are probably reapplied once. The shoulder boards are sewn to the tunic. A 2-piece ribbon-bar is attached to wearer's left breast. The fully lined tunic is not visible maker marked. Nice original Infantry Officer's Field Blouse in very good condition!
