WH (Heer) M44 Field Blouse
WH (Heer) M44 Field Blouse (Feldbluse). Late-war field-grey/brown coloured wool/rayon blend construction field blouse, the tunic has two pockets with straight flaps and field-grey finished, pebbled metal buttons. There is a six-button front closure using the same type of buttons. The field blouse is having a re-applied machine-sewn M44 style BeVo-woven breast eagle. A pair of collar-tabs are machine-sewn on the collar. The collar-tabs are having the basic generic green branch colour, the different branches of service within the German army were allocated a particular identifying 'Waffenfarbe' (branch of service) color which was generally displayed on the collar tabs. An exception to this rule were the general service collar tabs (Einheitskragenspiegel) for EM/NCO personnel that did not utilize the branch of service color enabling them to be worn by personnel serving in all branches of service. Shoulder-board loops and buttons are present.. The interior is mostly unlined, with brown/grey rayon used for reinforcements at the seams and for the two inner pockets. The tunic is nicely RB.Nr. marked and dated 1944 (E44). The bottom part of the tunic looks like it has been tailored, possibly slightly shortened, see photos for more details. Nice original late war M44 field blouse, due to the reapplied insignia priced accordingly!
