WH (Heer) Officer's M36 Field Blouse for a German Cross Recipient

Description

Wehrmacht (Heer) Infantry Officer's M36 Field Blouse (Feldbluse M36). The development of the M36 field blouse can be traced back to April 1933 with the introduction of the first pattern field blouses. Modifications of the M33 field blouse had evolved into the M36 Field Blouse. This is an EM's issue tunic which has been upgraded to and Officer's rank. The high quality wool/rayon blend construction field blouse has 5 front closure buttons and the recognizable four, pleated, front pockets. The field blouse is having a nicely hand-embroidered breast-eagle hand-sewn in place. The collar is having a pair of nicely hand-embroidered officer's collar-tabs hand-sewn to the collar. The collar-tabs are having the white branch colour. The tunic is complete with a pair of sew-in type shoulder-straps as intended for a 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Regiment 62'. All insignia look to be period applied. There are multiple award-loops on the left breast for wear of various awards and award loops on the right breast indicating that this Hauptmann was a recipient of the German Cross (Deutsches Kreuz). The interior of the field blouse is partially lined in ribbed, grey/tan cotton, there is a small bandage pocket on the lower right. The field blouse is nicely size marked (chest size 96cms) which is a medium size. The tunic is maker marked and dated 1938. There is some minor moth damage and the tunic is showing clear traces of usage, see photos. Overall the tunic is in very good condition, see photos. Stunning original combat worn highly decorated Officer's tunic!
