US Waterproof Rifle Cover. These were used on D-day and other amphibious operations to keep water and sand out of the troops' weapons during landings. The soft plastic bag will fit a M1 Garand, .30 Carbine or Springfield Rifle. I found a small stock of unissued bags, most likely made for the D-Day invasion but never issued. The bags are dated August 1943. Nice original waterproof rifle covers in mint and unissued condition, you will receive an example of my choice from the unissued bundle!
