US Wool Shirt in size '14½-33'. The shirt is complete with its original label and dated 1944. A patch for the '87th Infantry Division' is nicely sewn to the shirt. The 87th Infantry Division, known as the Golden Acorn, arrived in Scotland on 22 October 1944 and landed in France during the first week of December 1944. The division spent 134 days in combat on the Western front during World War II and fought in the Alsace, the Ardennes, the Rhineland and crossed the Mosel river into central Germany towards the Czechoslovakian Border. Private rank stripes have been sewn to the shirt as well. Nice original shirt in very good condition!
