WW2 US Captain's M-1943 Field Jacket
World War 2 US Captain's M-1943 Field Jacket. The M43 field jacket was designed as a replacement for the various combat clothing worn by the different branches of service. The often missing manufacturer's label is still present, the slightly faded label looks to be dated November 1943, see photos. Original machine-sewn captain's rank-bars to both shoulder-straps. The fully lined interior comes with a tunnel looped drawstring at waist line. There are some normal traces of usage, some damage in the neckline, and some staining, but the jacket is in overal good used condition. Nice original US Captain's M43 field jacket!
This jacket originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
