Waffen-SS Motorcyclist's Protective Coat
Waffen-SS Motorcyclist's Protective Coat (Kradmeldermantel). Motorcyclist’s/Dispatch riders were outfitted with special protective clothing that included the motorcyclist's protective coat or called 'Kradmantel'. The coat is constructed from rubberized cloth, it has a single metal hook and eye at the neckline. The shoulder-board loops and buttons are present. The coat is nicely maker marked by the 'Klepper-Werke Stich & Klepper' and dated 1944. Inside the neck a size label is sewn, the size label is nicley marked by the SS Clothing Depot 'SS Dachau', this is only the second motorcyclist's coat I've ever seen with an original SS Depot marking. The greatcoat is in worn condition with normal traces of usage, there is some staining and some small damages and cracks as usual with these coats. It is overall in good used condition, these specific motorcyclist's protective coats are very hard to find. Extremely rare original SS marked 'Kradmantel' in good used condition!
