Waffen-SS M40 Officer's Overseas Cap (Schiffchen für Offiziere). The M40 overseas cap was similar in cut to the Luftwaffe overseas cap and was worn for the duration of the war. Fieldgrey trikot woolen construction SS overseas cap. The cap is complete with a rareoriginal period hand-applied flat-wire woven cap-eagle and skull. The cap has a grey coloured cotton/rayon lining, the cap is size 57½ marked, perfect for a mannequin. The cap is in very good condition. Untouched original SS overseas caps like these are almost impossible to find nowadays, stunning original cap!

This cap originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
