WH (Heer) M36 Field Blouse

Description

Wehrmacht (Heer) NCO's M36 Field Blouse (Feldbluse M36). The development of the M36 field blouse can be traced back to April 1933 with the introduction of the first pattern field blouses. Modifications of the M33 field blouse had evolved into the M36 Field Blouse. This is an EM's issue tunic which has been upgraded to an NCO's rank. The high quality wool/rayon blend construction field blouse has 5 front closure buttons and the recognizable four, pleated, front pockets. The field blouse is having a nicely hand-sewn flatwire-woven breast-eagle original applied. The collar is having original machine-sewn collar-tabs and silver NCO braid around the collar. The collar-tabs are having the black branch colour for engineers. The tunic is complete with a pair of sew-in type shoulder-straps as intended for a 'Feldwebel' within the 'Pionier-Bataillon 22'. The tunic has been slightly period tailored made shorter and smaller. There are award-loops on the left breast for wear of two awards. An Iron Cross 2nd Class and Ostmedal ribbon are hand-sewn through one of the button-holes. A 'Steuermann' trade badge is period machine-sewn to the wearer's left upper sleeve. The interior of the field blouse is partially lined in grey/tan coloured cotton. The right, front-closure panel lining is marked with black ink size markings and the tunic is nicely dated 1939 (H39). The tunic is showing normal traces of usage and is in overall good clearly used and worn condition. Nice original untouched early pre-war dated M36 tunic in good used and worn condition!

This Field Blouse originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
