2 Prussian Merit Crosses for War Aid

Description

Set of 2 Prussian Merit Crosses for War Aid (Kreuz für Kriegshilfsdienst). The cross was instituted by King Wilhelm II on 5 December 1916, the cross was awarded for patriotic war aid service, without regard to status or rank. Both crosses come without ribbon. These crosses are very interesting from a collector's point of view, one cross is a regular production cross, the second cross is showing a production failure having the suspension ring attached in a wrong position, see photos. This would be a nice addition to a medal collection!
