World War 1 German Short Wire Cutter Pouch (Tasche für Drahtschere). Wire cutters were enabling personnel to cut through barbwire entanglements. The canvas and leather construction pouch is nicely maker marked by a company from 'Oberfranken'. Many of these pouches were reissued by Wehrmacht combat engineers during World War 2. Hard to find original World War 1 Wire Cutter Pouch!
