WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class 'CCCG'

Description

World War 1 Iron Cross 2nd class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). Re-instituted by King Wilhelm II on 5 August 1914 for award during WWI. The second class medal was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction and has a magnetic core. The cross is maker marked with 'CCCG' (probably three failed attempts before the G) indicating prodcution by the 'Godet & Co.' from Berlin. The cross is complete with its original 12cms long sized ribbon as found together. Nice original WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class in very good condition!
