Scarce original Luftwaffe Officers Sword & Hanger (Schwert für Offiziere mit Gehänge), also called 'Fliegerschwert'. The swords is having all aluminum fittings. The sunwheel Swastikas on the sword still retain most of their gilt finish. The sword has an in leather wripped grip with the correct diagonally silver/aluminum wire wrap. The blade is nicely marked by the company of 'Eickhorn' in Solingen. There are some Waffenambt markings. The leather scabberd is having aluminum fittings and is complete with it's original crescent hanger. This crescent hanger is in choice condition and is quipped with a matching aluminum closed box clip. Attached to the box clip is the original leather hanger, which is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Paul Klopfer' in Berlin and dated 1938. The hanger is 'L.B.A.' marked as well. The sword shows some normal damages and traces of usage. The sword is in overal good used condition and has a nice age patina. Scarce original Luftwaffe sword with hanger in very good condition!
