LW Combined Pilot-Observer Badge - FLL

Description

This is a nice original cased Luftwaffe Combined Pilot-Observer Badge (Gemeinsames Flugzeugführer- u. Beobachterabzeichen). The Combined Pilot-Observer's badge was officially instituted by 'Hermann Göring' on 19 January 1935. The badge was to be awarded to personnel who qualified as both pilot and observer. This badge is a nice early war example made of tombac (Buntmetall). The badge is not visible maker marked but can be attributed to production by the company of the 'Friedrich Linden' from Lüdenscheid. The badge still retains almost all of it's original silver and gold finish and shows very nice & pronounced detail overall, the badge is showing a nice slightly darkened age-patine and is showing polished highlights. The badge has naturally a functional pin & catch construction. The badge comes in an original early type case, the case is in very good condition. Hard to find original badge in very good condition!
