Waffen-SS M42 Camouflage Smock (Tarnjacke). This is an M42 type 2 smock having the angled lower pockets. This gave the wearer slightly better pocket access. The smock is showing a printed, reversible, Oakleaf (Eichenlaubmuster) camouflage pattern overprinted with a plane tree 5/6 (Platanenmuster) camouflage. The camouflage pattern has distinctly different colorations to the summer and autumn sides. The smock is closed by a cloth closure tie string, the tie string is a replacement. The elastic elastic around the waistline and the tunnel looped elastics at each cuff are in perfect condition. The reversible pocket bags are constructed in brown cotton. The sleeves have open vented armpits. The smock is showing some normal traces of usage, one repair can be found at the lace-up front plaquet, two fooliage loops are missing. The smock has no visible manufacturer’s or size markings. The smocks were designed large enough to fit over the standard field uniform, so it will fit a mannequin easily. This smock will make a stunning Waffen-SS combat display!
