WH (Heer) Double Decal Transitional Droopbill Helmet (Stahlhelm). This is a commercially made M18 style helmet, produced in the early 30's and refurbished for usage in the Wehrmacht (Heer). The steel construction helmet retains most of its original field-grey paint, the paint is showing some scratches and normal traces of usage. Both decals are in very good condition with some minor damage and scratches caused by usage, the standard Heeres decal is present for about 95%, the national tricolor decal is present for about 90%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact and the original liner cord is present, the liner is having an aluminum liner-ring, the liner is size '59' marked. The shell is not visible maker marked. The helmet is complete with it's original incomplete chinstrap, regrettably only the short strap is present. The helmet is in overall very good condition. Hard to find original double decal transitional helmet!
