WH (Heer) Panzer M34 Overseas Cap

Description

WH (Heer) Panzer EM/NCO's M34 Overseas Cap (Einheitsfeldmütze M34). The M34 overseas cap was introduced for wear by EM/NCO's on 24 March 1934. On 21 July 1942 it was replaced by the more functional M42 overseas cap followed by the M43 field-cap which was based on the M42 overseas cap and the Mountain Trooper’s Mountain Cap (Bergmütze). The black version of the overseas cap wasn’t introduced until 27 March 1940, as Panzer crew members were being issued with the black Panzer beret previous to that. Due to the fact that the Panzer Beret was unpopular with the troops and didn't facilitate the use of the headsets it was discontinued in January 1941. The different branches of service within the army were allocated a specific, identifying, 'Waffenfarbe' (Branchcolour), with pink being chosen for Panzer personnel. An original BeVo-woven Panzer cap-eagle has been neatly machine-sewn on front of the cap, above a national tri-colour cockade which is positioned between a pink coloured soustache. The soustache is applied the correct manner through two small holes. The cap is fully lined with a black cotton/rayon and is size '57' marked. The cap is in very good, near mint, condition. Just take a look at the photos. Stunning original Panzer overseas cap!
