Award Document (Urkunde) for the War Merit Cross 2nd Class (Kriegsverdienst Kreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwerter). The War Merit Cross was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 18 October 1939. This (A5 sized) document was awarded to a customs member being 'Oberzollsekretär Wilhelm Becker'. Wilhelm was awarded with theWar Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords on 20 April 1942. The document is personally signed by Generalfeldmarschall 'Wilhelm Keitel' (Knight's Cross recipient). The document is also clearly ink-stamped. The document has regrettably been folded and it is a bit wrinkled caused by years of storage. Nice original award-document!
