War Merit Cross 2nd Class without Swords (Kriegsverdienst Kreuz 2. Klasse ohne Schwerter). The late war zinc type cross is maker marked with number '75' indicating production by the company of 'Julius Maurer' from Oberstein. Complete with ribbon. Nice original cross in good condition!

War Merit Cross 2nd Class without Swords (Kriegsverdienst Kreuz 2. Klasse ohne Schwerter). The War Merit Cross was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 18 October 1939 in two classes with both classes issued, with and without swords, for award to military personnel and civilians. The tombak (Buntmetall) cross is nicely maker marked with number '75' indicating production by the company of 'Julius Maurer' from Oberstein. The cross comes with its original long sized ribbon as found. Nice original cross in good condition!
