WW2 Iron Cross 2nd Class

Description

Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse) with ribbon. On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction with an iron core, it just shows some minor wear and great detail overall, the  cross shows a slightly darker age-patina. The cross comes with its original 14cms long sized ribbon as found together. The cross is not visible maker marked but can very likely be attributed to production by the company of 'E. Ferdinand Wiedmann' from Frankfurt am Main. Nice example in very good condition!
