Description
Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The second class medal was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The magnetic cross has a three piece construction and the cross does still have the neat so-called: 'Hochpolierte Kanten', the cross just shows some minor wear, see photos. The cross is nicely maker marked with number '15' indicating production by the company of 'Friedrich Orth' from Wien (Vienna). The cross comes with its original ribbon as found. Nice original cross in very good condition!
