Kriegsmarine Belt Buckle on leather tab 'CTD 1941'
Kriegsmarine EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß mit Lederwiderhalt). The Kriegsmarine belt buckle was officially introduced on 4 August 1936, to replace the previously worn 'Reichsmarine' buckle. The Kriegsmarine buckle was identical in design to the Army EM/NCO’s belt buckle, but with gilt colored finish. Nice gilt finished steel buckle, the buckle is nicely maker marked with 'CTD 1941' indicating production by the company of 'Christian Theodor Dicke' from Lüdenscheid. The buckle shows normal wear and scratching and still retains most of its golden finish. The buckle is complete with its original matching leather tab which is also maker marked by the company of 'Christian Theodor Dicke' from Lüdenscheid. This is the first 'CTD' marked buckle with matching leather flap I've ever seen. Extremely rare and hard to find original Kriegsmarine buckle in good used condition!
