This is a nice 2nd pattern NSKK driver's sleeve diamond (Ärmelraute für Kraftfahrer 2. Modell). The 'Kraftfahrraute' was originally worn by all NSKK members, on their lower left sleeve, but by September of 1939 only those who held one of the four classes of motor vehicle operator's licenses were permitted to wear them. This example is neatly woven in so-called 'flat-wire' weave technique on a black linnen background. The badge is nicely padded. Nice original example in good, clearly used and tunic removed, condition!
