Hard to find out of print book "Operatie Amherst", French paratroopers fighting in Drenthe, April 1945 by 'R. Flamand'. This softcover book features 255 pages, illustrated with many photographs, describes the combat actions of over seven hundred French troops in Drenthe in the spring of 1945. These Frenchmen were then part of the famous British SAS (special air force). As pioneers for the advancing Canadians, they were dropped over Drenthe in the night of 7 to 8 April 1945. Book in used condition. Interesting book about a forgotten part of history!
