British Camouflaged Leather Combat Jerkin (Jerkins Leather No.2). The leather "Jerkin" was originally introduced in the British army during the first winter of World War 1 and immediately became popular with the troops, its usage continued through-out World War 2. This is a multi-panel construction British made example, size 2 marked. The jerkin is complete with manufacturers label from the company 'Cookson & Clegg Ltd.' from Blackburn and dated September 1940. The leather is in supple condition, one shoulder stiching seam is partly loose and there is one small damage to the back, see photos. Nice original example in good used condition!
