Cased German Customs Service Medal (Zollgrenzschutz–Ehrenzeichen). At the request of the Reich Ministry of Finance the Customs Service Medal was approved by Hitler and instituted on 17 February 1939. This is a nice tombak (Buntmetall) medal, complete with its original blue coloured ribbon having a small miniature device attached, period mounted on a so-called 'Einzelspange'. It comes with its functional pin/catch attachment for mounting it on a tunic. The medal comes in its original green coloured box. The box is showing some normal useage at the corners what is seen often on these boxes. Extremely rare original set in very good condition!
