Cased Kriegsmarine 'Nordsee' marked 7x50 Binoculars
Standard larger type Kriegsmarine 7x50 Binoculars (Doppelfernrohr). The German army used a wide variety of optical enhancement items with the 6 x 30 power binoculars being the standard issue optics utilized by all branches of service, these larger 7x50 type binoculars were issued to specialized personnel, for example deck or coastal observers. The binoculars are in complete condition. The Binoculars are marked with a large Wehrmacht eagle above a capital 'M' (Marine) indicating naval issue. The binoculars also bears the inscription: '7x50' and the unique number '33524' and the abbreviation 'KF' indicating that the binoculars were 'Kaltefest' and could be used in cold climates. The binoculars are maker marked 'beh' indicating production by the company 'E. Leitz' from Wetzlar. The binoculars are also marked with a capital 'N' which indicates usage in the 'Nordsee' area and the unique service number '23967'. The optics are clear. The binoculars are complete with leather carrying strap. The binoculars are in clearly used condition showing normal traces of usage, see photos. The binoculars are stored inside their original simulated leather carrying case, the case is matching maker marked with 'beh' and dated 1942, the case is also showing a large eagle above a capital 'M' (Marine).
