Pre-war German 'Reichswehr' Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß). On 24 January 1936 this old pattern EM/NCO’s 'Reichsheer' type belt buckle was officially replaced by the new style Wehrmacht (Heer) buckle, the basic design of the Reichsheer buckle was retained with the addition of the new Wehrmacht style national eagle. This is a nice 2-piece nickel-silver construction box buckle with a pebbled background showing the 'Reichsheer' style national eagle. The buckle is not visible maker marked. The buckle comes with a period looking 95cms long sized lacquered leather belt as found together. Nice original early pre-war belt & buckle in set used condition!
