Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber

Description

Infantry Assault Badge in Silver (Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber). The Infantry Assault Badge in silver was introduced on 20 December 1939 by Generaloberst 'Walther von Brauchitsch', for award to all ranks of non-motorized, Infantry and Mountain Infantry units who participated in three different assaults on three different days. The badge is executed in 'Feinzink' and still retains all of its original silver finish showing polished highlights. The pin and catch are complete and functional. The badge is not visible maker marked but can be attributed to the company of 'Rudolf A. Karneth & Söhne' from Gablonz an der Neiße. It's very difficult to find a zinc Karneth Badge in this condition. Nice original badge in stunning mint condition!
