Infantry Assault Badge in Silver (Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber). The Infantry Assault Badge in silver was introduced on 20 December 1939 by Generaloberst 'Walther von Brauchitsch', for award to all ranks of non-motorized, Infantry and Mountain Infantry units who participated in three different assaults on three different days. The badge is executed in 'Zink' with most of its original silverish finish remaining. The pin and catch are complete and functional. The badge is not visible maker marked, this is the '4 rivets' variant being a semi hollow zinc construction badge with riveted catch and hinge plate. Nice original badge in very good condition!
