KM Coastal Artillery Field Blouse
Kriegsmarine 'Küstenartillerie' (Coastal Artillery) Summer Field Blouse (Feldbluse für Sommer). Beginning in 1935 Kriegsmarine land based personnel, primarily Coastal Artillery units, were issued field-grey uniforms that followed the fundamental designs of the army uniforms with minor variations. The cotton construction tunic has two, non-pleated, breast pockets and two horizontal slash hip pockets. The field blouse is having a pair of BeVo-woven EM's Coastal Artillery collar tabs neatly machine-sewn to the collar. The tunic is complete with a BeVo-woven breast-eagle which is machine-sewn to the tunic. The field blouse is complete with shoulder-board loops and buttons and is complete with a pair of EM's type Coastal Artillery shoulder-straps, the shoulder-straps are most likely slightly modified to fit the tunic. The tunic is lined in grey coloured cotton. The field blouse is nicely size marked and maker marked by the 'Altmärkische Kleider Fabrik' from Grosswusterwitz (near Magdeburg) and dated B41 (1941), it is also marked with 'B.A.W.' (Bekleidungs Amt Wilhelmshaven) and dated15 July 1941. The tunic is showing some minor traces of years of storage, see photos.
