'Kreta' Cufftitle
'Kreta' Cufftitle (Ärmelband). The 'Kreta' cufftitle was introduced on 16 October 1942 and held the status of a campaign award, since the cufftitle was considered a military combat decoration, it was awarded with a corresponding award document (and entries in the 'Soldbuch' and/or 'Wehrpass'). The cufftitle was to be worn on the right lower arm (except greatcoats). The cufftitle is in a full-length condition and measures approximately 40cms in length. The cufftitle is made of a white cotton background and features the in yellow/gold thread machine embroidered script: 'Kreta', flanked by Acanthus leaves. The cufftitle is nicely marked with 'RB.Nr.0/0250/2340'. There is some minor staining and wrinkling caused by years of storage. The cufftitle is in good, clearly used and tunic removed condition, still sewn together. Rare original cufftitle!
