Kriegsmarine Belt Buckle on leather tab
Kriegsmarine EM/NCO's gilt finished belt-buckle that comes on it's natural coloured leather tab (Koppelschloß mit Lederwiderhalt). The Kriegsmarine belt buckle was officially introduced on 4 August 1936, to replace the previously worn 'Reichsmarine' buckle. The Kriegsmarine buckle was identical in design to the Army EM/NCO’s belt buckle, but with gilt colored finish. Nice gilt finished aluminum buckle, the buckle is nicely maker marked 'R.S.& S.'. The buckle shows normal wear and scratching and still retains most of it's golden finish. The leather tab is also maker marked by the company of 'Richard Sieper & Söhne', based in Lüdenscheid and dated 1938. There is also a nice Kriegsmarine approval stamp. Hard to find original Kriegsmarine buckle in good condition!
