WH (Luftwaffe) 'Frontflugspange für Jäger' in Silver (Day Fighter Clasp in Silver). The Day Fighter's Clasp was introduced by 'Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring' on 30 January 1941. The clasps were awarded in three grades of, Bronze for twenty operational flights, Silver for sixty operational flights, and Gold for one hundred ten operational flights. This badge is a very nice early 'Buntmetall' (tombac) example. The badge is not visible maker marked. The clasp has naturally a functional pin & catch construction. The clasp still has most of it's original silver finish left and is in very good condition showing great detail and polished highlights. Hard to find day fighter clasp in this stunning condition!
