Schutzpolizei NCO's Visor Cap
'Schutzpolizei' NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). The police were divided into eight assorted branches of service and during the restructuring the different police agencies were assigned specific identifying 'Truppenfarbe' (Branch Colors), with green truppenfarbe being allocated to the 'Schutzpolizei des Reichs' (National Protection Police). The German Police had no enlisted ranks with the lowest rank being an 'Unterwachtmeister' which was equivalent to the German army rank of Unteroffizier. This is a visor cap with green coloured piping above and below its chocolate brown band and around its crown. The cap is lined with brown oilcloth and is showing a celluloid diamond which is maker marked by the company of 'Ludwig Vögele, Mützenfabrik' from Karlsruhe. The sweatband is in used condition. The cap is size '58½' marked. The cap is marked 'Po' (Polizei) and dated 1939. The cap is complete with its original aluminum cocarde and a 2nd pattern aluminum Police cap-eagle. The cap is having a blackened patent leather chinstrap. The cap is in good used condition showing some normal traces of usage. The cap is having a great shape.
