Wehrmacht hand-held cable reel (Abspuler), this is the extremely rare 17,5cms diameter type as issued for the Field Telephones (FF33). The hand-held cable reel is having a wooden handle. The cable reel still retains most of its original field-grey paint, it is maker marked by the 'Nirona Werke' from Beierfeld and dated 1940. Nice original cable reel in good used condition!
