Wehrmacht (Heer) M40 Greatcoat (Tuchmantel). The Greatcoat belonged to the standard equipment of every soldier. The greatcoat could be worn in cold weather or rain and all other conceivable situations. The greatcoat is made of Italian gabardine wool, it has two rows of six front closure buttons and the greatcoat also has a single metal hook and eye at the neckline. The greatcoat is complete with all original buttons. The greatcoat is complete with shoulder-board loops and buttons. The greatcoat is nicely size marked (chest-size 100cms) and dated 1944 (P44). The greatcoat is in only slightly worn condition with some normal traces of usage, there is some staining and there are some small damages to the back, see photos. Very rare and hard to find late war gabardine greatcoat in good condition!
