WH (Heer) M36 Greatcoat for a 'Stabsarzt'
WH (Heer) M36 Greatcoat (Tuchmantel) as intended for an army medical 'Stabsarzt'. The greatcoat belonged to the standard equipment of every soldier. The greatcoat could be worn in cold weather or rain and all other conceivable situations. This is a high qualitey privately purchased field-grey woolen construction greatcoat with dark green collar, it has two rows of six front closure buttons and the greatcoat also has a single metal hook and eye at the neckline. The greatcoat is complete with shoulder-boards of the sew-in type, the shoulder-boards are having the dark-blue 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for 'Sanitäts' (medical) personnel, the shoulder-boards are both having two pips and an esculap (Serpent intertwined on a staff) attached indicating a 'Stabsarzt' (equivalent to an Army Hauptmann) within a medical unit. The Greatcoat is nicely maker marked by the tailor 'Alfred Knuth' from Berlin. The greatcoat is complete with internal dagger-hangers. The greatcoat is in very good only slightly worn condition with some minor traces of usage and/or damages, see photos. Stunning original greatcoat in very good condition!
