WH (Heer) Medical/Mountain Troops M31 Canteen and Cup (Feldflasche 31 und Trinkbecher). The standard issue M31 canteen was introduced on 23 March 1931. This is a so-called 'Labeflasche' with a 1 liter capacity as issued to mountain troops and medical personnel, complete with  leather carrying harness. The canteen and leather straps are all in overall good condition with minimal age and usage toning. The canteen is complete with its original black bakelite cup. The canteen, cover and leather harness are all matching maker marked and dated with 'ESB40', indicating production in 1940. Nice original 1 liter capacity canteen in very good condition!
