WH (Heer) Transport Hauptmann's M35 Dress Tunic
WH (Heer) Transport Hauptmann's M35 Dress Tunic (Wehrmacht Parade-Waffenrock) as intended for a 'Hauptmann der Reserve' within the 'Nachschub-Abteilung 7' which was part of the '7. Infanterie Division'. The M35 dress tunic was introduced for wear by all ranks on 29 June 1935 as the walking out, parade and ceremonial dress with stone grey long pants. The design of the M35 dress tunic was based on the Imperial German army’s service tunic. Originally all personnel were issued two M35 dress tunics but manufacture was discontinued somewhere around 1940 as a result of the war. The different branches of service within the German army were allocated a particular identifying 'Waffenfarbe' (branch of service) color, this tunic is piped in light-blue as intended for an NCO within a Transport (Nachschub) unit. The tunic is having a nicely flat-wire type breast-eagle hand-sewn to the wearer's right breast, the tunic is having a pair of Officer's collar-tabs nicely machine-sewn to the collar. The tunic is complete with a pair of original sew-in type shoulder boards, the shoulder boards are showing two rank pips and the cypher '7', indicating an 'Hauptmann' within the 'Nachschub-Abteilung 7'. The shoulder-boards are having a secondary grey piping indicating a Reserve Officer. The tunic is size marked and dated 1938 (B38). The tunic is in overall good used condition with minor traces of usage and/or small (moth)damages. The metal hooks in the collar are missing. Nice original Transport Hauptmann's Dress Tunic!
