Wehrmacht M31 Shelter Quarter (Zeltbahn 31). The shelter quarter served buttoned together to form a four-man tent (or larger), it could also be worn as a poncho to give protection against rain, and it served as camouflage during a battle. It is made of tightly woven cotton drill with the "splitter pattern" camouflage, which showed light colors on one side and dark colors on the other. This example is showing really bright colours. It looks to be complete with almost all of its original early type aluminum dish-buttons and three original ropes. The Zeltbahn is showing some nice unit markings and is dated 1935, a small name-tag looks to have been removed from the Zeltbahn. The shelter quarter is showing some normal staining and traces of usage, see photos. Rare original early pre-war Zeltbahn in good used condition!
