World War 1 Iron Cross 2nd class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). Re-instituted by King Wilhelm II on 5 August 1914 for award during WWI. The second class medal was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction and has a magnetic core. The cross is maker marked with 'S-W' indicating prodcution by the 'Sy Wagner' from Berlin. The cross is complete with its original 13cms long sized ribbon as found together. Nice original WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class in good used condition!
