WH (Heer) 'Panzer' Officer's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice privately purchased Officer's example, complete with celluloid manufacturer's sweat-diamond ('Raute'), maker marked by the famous 'Erel' company, this is however very hard to read. The cap is size '56,5' marked. The Visor cap is piped in the pink 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Panzer personnel. The leather sweatband is in good used condition, see photos. The cap is complete with its original aluminum cap eagle and cocarde. The cap is having an officer's type chinstrap. The cap is showing some minor traces of usage and/or storage and some minor (moth)damages, see photos. Great and scarce original Panzer Officer's Visor Cap in very good condition!
