Luftwaffe Single Decal M42 Combat Helmet
Luftwaffe Single Decal M42 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42). The steel construction M42 helmet retains most of its rough textured, blue-gray paint and about 75% of the decal. The paint shows normal wear and scratches caused by usage and the helmet shows some light surface rust and dirt and is in uncleaned condition as found. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact, the liner is size '58' marked. The liner is complete with its original drawstring. The shell is marked with maker and size 'hkp66' which indicates production by the company 'Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G.' from Lauter. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '297?'. The helmet is complete with its original chinstrap, the chinstrap is nicely 'RB.Nr.' marked. This helmet was found in a private household in the Netherlands and has never been cleaned. Nice original Luftwaffe helmet in good used and untouched condition!
Luftwaffe M42 Gevechtshelm met één plaatje (Stahlhelm M42). De stalen M42 helm bevat nog het grootste deel van zijn originele blauw-grijze ruwe verf en ongeveer 75% van de decal. De verf vertoont normale gebruikssporen en krasjes door gebruik en verder vertoont de helm wat lichte oppervlakte roest en stof/vuil, de helm is in niet schoongemaakte staat zoals gevonden. Alle drie de splitpennen zijn intact en aanwezig. Het binnenwerk van de helm is een M31 leren binnenwerk met alle acht de vingers in goede staat, het binnenwerk is maat '58' gemarkeerd. Het binnenwerk is compleet met zijn originele koordje. De helmschaal is gemarkeerd met maker en maat 'hkp66' wat productie aangeeft door de firma 'Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G.' uit Lauter. Achterin de binnenzijde van de nek van de helm staat ook een serienummer gestanst '297?'. De helm is compleet met het originele kinriempje, het riempje is mooi gemarkeerd met een 'RB.Nr.'. Deze helm is gevonden bij een huisopruiming in Nederland en is nooit schoongemaakt. Mooie originele Luftwaffe helm in goede gebruikte en onaangeroerde staat
