Description
Luftwaffe Gascape Pouch (Gasplane Tasche). The shoulder sling of the gas mask was put through two loops at the rear of the pouch, and the pouch was worn on the chest. This method proved not to be very practical. During the war a frequent way of wear was to fasten the pouch around the gas mask canister. The pouch is nicely maker marked inside with a three digit makerscode 'gdo' indicating production by the company 'Tannwalder Textilwerke AG' from Tannwald-Schumburg. Nice original example in very good condition!
