Luftwaffe Lightweight Combat Y-straps (Koppeltraggestell), as issued to the Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine and Cavalry troops. The combat Y-straps were designed to assist in distributing the weight of the equipment carried on the load bearing waist belt to the shoulders. The straps are nicely maker marked by the company of 'Otto Jahnke' from Berlin and dated 1937. There are some unit markings as well, one being for the 'Fl.Horst Kdt. Parow' (Fliegerhorst Kommandantur Parow). All metal parts are made of aluminum, hard to find early example with alumium parts. Nice pair of early Luftwaffe y-straps in good used condition!
