Matching K98 Combat Bayonet with Frog (Seitengewehr 98K). The bayonet is maker marked by the company of 'E. Pack & S.' and dated 1940. Complete with Luftwaffe 'Flak-Ersatz-Abteilung 51' unit marked frog as found together. Nice set in good condition!

Description

Matching K98 Combat Bayonet with Frog (Seitengewehr 98K mit Seitengewehrtasche). The K98 bayonet was a standard issue item and was accompanied by a bayonet frog to be worn on the reverse left side of the load carrying waist belt. The K98 bayonet remained the standard issue bayonet through-out the war with minor manufacturing variations. The bayonet and scabberd are nicely maker marked company of 'E. Pack & S.' and dated 1940. The bayonet and scabberd are marked with the mathcing serial-number '8492'. The blade is in very good condition, the bayonet is having bakelite grips. The scabberd is showing one dent The bayonet comes with its original chocolate brown leather frog as found together, the frog is nicely maker marked by the company 'Franz Brehme' from Walsrode and showing a Luftwaffe 'LBA' acceptance marking. The frog is unit marked with 'FEA 51' (Flak-Ersatz-Abteilung 51), this unit was located in Stettin. Nice original matching bayonet in good used condition!
