MGZ40 Optical Sight in Box (M.G.Z.40 im Transportkasten). The German MGZ40 Optical Sight was intended for use with the MG34 and later the MG42 machine gun, it could be mounted on a Lafette tripod. The sight is in complete condition with original rubber eyecup, the sight retains most of its original tan coloured paint. The sight is nicely maker marked with 'cxn' indicating production by the company of 'Emil Busch AG' from Rathenow, the sight is marked with the unique serial-number '200687'. The optics are clear. The sight is complete with its original transport box including both filters. The box is showing a period grey coloured overpaint, the tan coloured factory paint is clearly visible beneath the overpaint.
