Rare original bakelite Mustard Gas Decontamination Tablet Container (Gelbkreuzentgiftungsmittel Behälter). Next to the Gasmask as a protective device, german soldiers were issued with skin and weapon decontaminants. One of the decontamination tablets introduced were the mustard gas decontamination tablets; 'Losantin'. It was used to detoxificate the skin after a (mustard) gas attack (Senfgas). These were issued in a round bakelite container. The container is approximately 8,5 cms high and is having a diameter of 3,2 cms. The light brown bakelite container is nicely maker marked and dated 1939. These round containers are hardly ever offered for sale. Hard to find example in good used condition!
