Wehrmacht 'Affe' Backpack M1934 with fur flap (Tornister 34). This backpack was introduced on 1 November 1934. The cowhide was to protect against rain. The Affe is complete with its original brown leather carrying straps. The backpack is nicely maker marked by 'Erhardt & Kirsten' from Taucha and dated 1942. This is a rivetted variant where all leather parts are rivetted instead of the normal sewing. The inner pouch in the flap is missing. The backpack shows some normal traces of usage and age but is in overall good condition, see photos. Nice original backpack!
